Abstract:

This paper introduces the artistic style, innovation leading and successful inheritance practice of Wu Changshuo, a maestro in the late Qing Dynasty, and points out that his art of poetry, calligraphy, painting and printing is the inevitable inheritance of China's excellent traditional culture, which is " noble and upright, mind clearing up". Then it introduces The Artistic Heritage Exhibition with authentic cultural heritage advocated by Wu Changshuo. The exhibition, held on March 2019, tries to be with the times at the same pace, with core value of pursuing Shanghai spirit and deep exploration, advocates artists to give full play to creativity, find the theme of creation, capture the inspiration of innovation, deeply reflect the great changes and depict the spiritual map of the times.
