摘要：

镇墓兽是最早出现在春秋时期楚国地界一带的丧葬品，具有独特审美意味与文化价值。学界内对于镇墓兽的功能演进等问题有过诸多探讨，本文旨在串联前人观点的同时提出一些补充猜想，并希望用图像学方法和文献图像二重证据法加以佐证。

关键词: 镇墓兽, 春秋时期, 隋唐时期, 墓葬美术

Abstract:

Tomb-guarding beasts are the earliest funerary objects that appeared in the borders of Chu State in the Spring and Autumn Period, which have unique aesthetic meaning and cultural value. There have been many discussions on the functional evolution of the tomb-guarding beasts in the academic circles. The paper aims at putting forward some supplementary suggestions in connection with the previous opinions, and hope to illustrate my suggestions by using iconography, images and documents to support it.
