Abstract:

Following China's Reform and Opening-up, China’s stamp themes have evolved toward a politics-culture synthesis, featuring diverse cultural themes including painting, literature, ancient artifacts, sculpture, cultural relics, folk traditions, and traditional sports. These stamp images gradually moved away from ideological dominance, reflecting a more objective historical perspective and an increasingly open, inclusive worldview. Concurrently, to address the spiritual and cultural needs emerging from market economy development, the process of theme selection has adopted democratic centralism principles with more diversified selection policies. This evolution has positively influenced the artistic aesthetics of stamp design, resulting in richer visual expression and cultural representation.
