Abstract:

Costumes in movies are an important part of the film language system. Costumes in Hollywood science fiction movies have significant meanings and functions. They present a variety of mechanical aesthetic styles through technological elements, mechanical modeling, and human-machine integration. They also play a deep structural function in promoting film narratives through the future imagination narrative, daily life narrative, story and space narrative transformation of clothing symbols. Costumes in Hollywood movies also have a strong ideological undertone, reflecting international politics under the Cold War mentality and the order of class and power.
