当代艺术语境中论“水墨概念”

On the Concept of Ink Art in the Context of Contemporary Art

摘要:

中国绘画的出路是中国文化精英和中国艺术家百年来苦苦探索和思考的文化命题,但是,在中国绘画千余年的观念演变过程中,经历了丹青向水墨的突围、人物画向山水画的转型、“书法入画”的笔墨升华,形成的笔墨为上的核心价值,限制了探索的种种可能性。在当代艺术的语境中,突破中国画坚硬的外壳,抛弃笔墨、以概念替代绘画、引入信息,是否是中国绘画走出困境的出路呢?由上海视觉艺术学院主办、中华艺术宫协办的《水墨概念艺术大展》给出了当代中国画多元化、多向度突围的启示。

Abstract:

The way out for Chinese painting is a culture proposition that Chinese cultural elites and Chinese artists have painstakingly explored and pondered over the past hundred years. However, in the process of the evolution of Chinese painting for more than thousands of years, it has experienced the breakthrough of Danqing's ink painting, the transformation of figure paintings into landscape paintings, and the sublimation of "calligraphy into paintings", which has formed the core value that brush and ink is of the upper limit, thus limiting the possibilities of exploration. In the context of Contemporary Art, whether breaking through the hard shell of Chinese painting, abandoning brush and ink, replacing painting with concept, and introducing information can make Chinese painting get out of the predicament? The Beyond Ink Art Exhibition, which was hosted by Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts and co-organized by China Art Palace, has posed the inspiration of diversified and multi-directional breakthrough of contemporary Chinese painting.
