Abstract:

Dunhuang Craftsmen are not only the builders of Dunhuang Grottoes (which takes over a thousand years), but also the creators of Dunhuang Culture. In ancient times, these craftsmen were handicraft workers who belonged to the bottom of society. They lived in poverty with low social status, but they were the masters of Dunhuang Culture, which represents the ancient civilization. Dunhuang Grottoes, treasure for all human beings, reflects Chinese ancient craftsmen’s spirit of tolerance, dedication and innovation.
