Abstract:

Urban sculpture, as a form of artistic expression in public spaces, is intertwined with urban architecture and cannot be separated from urban planning. If urban architecture is the physical form of urban planning, then urban sculpture is the spiritual form of urban planning. Therefore, the creation of urban sculptures must appeal to the construction of urban culture in order to shape the spiritual outlook of the city. This requires the conscious formation of an evaluation mechanism for urban sculpture creation, integrating the public, artistic, and social service aspects of urban sculpture into urban planning. It is also necessary to integrate urban planning, artist creation, and public participation into the process of urban sculpture creation, thereby establishing a healthy urban aesthetic system and forming a better awareness of urban planning.
