写实主义与人民立场: 徐悲鸿作为现代知识分子的艺术革命

Realism and People's Stance: Xu Beihong's Artistic Revolution as a Modern Intellectual

摘要:

徐悲鸿受到新文化运动以来的现代思想影响,其“艺术革命”之路具有鲜明的“历史性”与“过渡性”。从传统的眼光来看,徐悲鸿力图借助中国传统的“英雄豪侠”精神对现实进行革命,并将“英雄”作为崇高精神赋予最广大意义上的人民;而从现代性的角度出发,徐悲鸿学习西方古典艺术,借助写实主义的方法改良中国画。本文立足于徐悲鸿由传统向现代转型所面对的诸多矛盾,明确其艺术的现实根源,以及英雄与人民的革命立场,将助益于阐释徐悲鸿作为现代中国知识分子的多重思想面向与历史价值。

Abstract:

Influenced by modern thought since the New Culture Movement, Xu Beihong's path of "artistic revolution" demonstrates distinct "historicity" and "transitional" characteristics. From a traditional perspective, Xu Beihong studied Western classical art and improved Chinese painting through realist methods. From the perspective of modernity, Xu Beihong rejected Western modern art and attempted to revolutionize reality through traditional Chinese "heroic spirit," bestowing this "heroic" spirit upon the people in the broadest sense. Understanding the various contradictions Xu Beihong faced in his transition from tradition to modernity, clarifying the realistic origins of his art and his revolutionary stance toward heroes and people will help interpret Xu Beihong's multiple ideological facets and historical value as a modern Chinese intellectual.
