Abstract:

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, China has consistently emphasized the importance of aesthetic education, providing policy guidance and opportunities for aesthetic education in street dance. As street dance entered a phase of localization in 2015, numerous outstanding street dance works gained prominence through online street dance variety shows, capturing the attention of the public. Based on this phenomenon, this article approaches street dance aesthetic education from the perspective of aesthetic judgment, exploring expressive forms and emotional implications in street dance works, and analyzing its distinctive body imagination logic. Additionally, the article extends its focus to higher-order thinking abilities associated with aesthetic comprehension and innovation. In aesthetic education of street dance, multidimensional exploration should be conducted in terms of “performance”, “teaching” and “creation”, leveraging its characteristics rooted in the times and oriented towards the people, formally integrating it into the modern dance aesthetic education system.
