Abstract:

Color is an important means of attracting audiences in the visual art of film. Through the collation and induction of relevant literature, this paper focuses on color narrative, selecting 45 film posters of Zhang Yimou and combines the theory of color perception with hue, saturation, and lightness to explore the internal mechanism of color usage in Zhang Yimou's movie posters. Using SPSS software to process and export the color data, the 3D scatterplot of color distribution in movie posters is obtained. The essence, center, and dispersion of color are analyzed and compared with HSL visual chart. Finally, this study makes a comparative analysis of Zhang Yimou's movie poster series. The aim is to offer reference value for domestic film poster design at present.
