Abstract:
The aesthetic paradigm of traditional aesthetics is undergoing a transformation brought about by virtual reality art. Virtual reality technology can assist artists in creating more realistic and tactile works, altering people’s perception and acceptance of artistic works, thereby implying a shift in philosophical thinking paradigm and a transfer of focus in cultural aesthetic theories. We need to interpret its aesthetic forms and aesthetic reception perspectives, focusing on the characteristics of media dissipation, interactive generation, creation of the environment, and particularly captivating features such as “presence of the body”. This perspective helps to correct the cognitive bias in the shifting process of aesthetic paradigm and dispels the charm of body narrative under the bondage of media technology, to some extent.
Key words: virtual reality art, aesthetic paradigm, shift, reflection
