Abstract:

XI Jinping’s cultural ideology is the cultural component of XI Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, providing guidance for us to carry out cultural work in the new era. Rural revitalization reflects XI Jinping’s deep affection for the countryside and the Communist Party of China’s strong sentiment towards rural areas. Embedded within it, rural cultural revitalization constitutes an integral part of XI Jinping’s cultural ideology, showing a profound internal connection and high logical consistency between the two. XI Jinping’s cultural ideology systematically elucidates the theoretical connotations of rural cultural revitalization: it is the basic principle of rural cultural revitalization to regard socialist core values as guidelines; the protection and inheritance of excellent traditional culture are fundamental requirements for rural cultural revitalization; fostering new customs and advocating new trends is the key to revitalizing rural culture; promoting the integration of urban and rural public cultural service systems is a firm guarantee for rural cultural revitalization. In the new era, rural cultural revitalization must be guided by XI Jinping’s cultural ideology, the effectiveness of grassroots party organizations and governance should be continuously enhanced, socialist core values should be vigorously fostered and practiced, digital technology to inherit and innovate excellent traditional Chinese culture should be fully used, and multiple measures should be taken to promote comprehensive development of rural cultural undertakings and cultural industries.
