Abstract:

Postmodernism gave rise to the "end of aesthetics" and "de-essentialism", quietly dissolving aesthetic ontology. Against this backdrop, however, the School of Life Aesthetics adheres to ontology and succeeds in re-constructing Aesthetic Ontology. By clarifying the problems of "aesthetic issues" and the ontology of aesthetic activities, and by emphasizing ontology — the essence of philosophy, Life Aesthetics re-constructs the paradigm of humanistic aesthetics, giving Aesthetics a more prominent status. When constructing Aesthetic Ontology, Life Aesthetics opens a new path to address philosophical issues with the help of Aesthetic theories.
