Abstract:

In recent years, some rural documentary films have begun to explore spatial narrative strategies. These documentary films on rural revitalization enhance audience’s cognition and understanding of rural revitalization through diversified scene selection and filming techniques in the lens space. In the narrative space, local characteristics are highlighted and presented in an innovative way, which makes the audience feel immersive in the films. In the embodied space, they rely on visual perception and interaction to evoke emotional resonance among the audience. This not only provides valuable reference for the subsequent creation of documentary films on rural revitalization, but also plays a role in disseminating experiences of rural revitalization.
